The FIH Sustainability Committee operates under the direct authorization of the Chairman of the Board. The Committee is composed of key leadership figures, including the Chairman, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the heads of the Energy & Industrial Safety Management Department, Human Resources Department, Internal Audit Department, and the Corporate Spokesperson. The Committee is responsible for steering the Group’s sustainability roadmap, defining long-to-medium-term strategies and targets, integrating sustainability into core operations, and overseeing performance and regulatory compliance.
Under the Committee's oversight, the Sustainability Office is tasked with the execution of various initiatives. The Sustainability Office focuses on materiality assessment, gap analysis, and remedial actions, while working in close synergy with the Sustainability Office of our parent company, Hon Hai Technology Group. Furthermore, the Sustainability Office supports all global operating sites in addressing critical sustainability issues and managing assessments from customers and third-party organizations. Its responsibilities also include formulating key sustainability policies and establishing effective communication channels with stakeholders.
To ensure organizational resilience and transparency, the Sustainability Office collaborates with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Internal Audit teams to conduct regular risk assessments and audits. The Sustainability Office is not only responsible for coordinating the implementation of FIH’s sustainability efforts—ensuring they meet the expectations of customers and regulators—but also submits quarterly ESG progress reports to the Board of Directors.
The Sustainability Committee has established three dedicated task forces: Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G). These are led respectively by the heads of Energy & Industrial Safety Management, Human Resources, and Internal Audit. These task forces meet monthly to track progress against short-, medium-, and long-term targets, coordinating sustainability projects across all departments and operating sites.
To foster a culture of sustainability and ensure governance effectiveness, FIH has appointed ESG Officers and liaisons at all manufacturing sites worldwide. These representatives work closely with the task forces to implement sustainability policies, monitor localized KPIs, and report back to headquarters regularly, ensuring full alignment with the Group’s overarching sustainability strategy.
