As an integral member of Hon Hai Technology Group, FIH upholds the Group’s commitment as a member of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). We are dedicated to managing mineral procurement in an ethical and responsible manner. We have established the "Environmental and Social Responsibility Commitment" and the "FIH Social Responsibility Management Manual," which explicitly outline our principles and requirements for responsible mineral sourcing. These documents serve as operational guidelines for our suppliers regarding mineral traceability, the avoidance of conflict minerals, and adherence to international best practices.
FIH mandates that all suppliers comply with relevant regulations and international standards to ensure that minerals in our supply chain—including Gold, Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Cobalt (3TG + Cobalt)—are sourced legally and are not linked to human rights abuses or armed conflicts. Our goal is to drive sustainability and accountability across the entire industrial chain through transparent and traceable procurement processes.
FIH has implemented a Conflict Minerals Management Platform accessible to both business units and suppliers, ensuring that mineral sources are fully transparent and traceable. This platform is managed by the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) department, which is responsible for monitoring mineral usage and conducting annual reviews. Through this centralized system, the platform collects, integrates, and verifies conflict minerals due diligence reports submitted by suppliers, ensuring the integrity and consistency of the information.
All data is stored for long-term tracking and is visualized through a Digital Dashboard in real-time. This system facilitates the monitoring of supplier mineral sources and enables transparent disclosure to our customers. Concurrently, supplier management teams across various business units utilize the platform to perform supplier due diligence, promoting internal data sharing and statistical analysis to enhance FIH’s responsible mineral procurement management.
