Decarbonization Strategy and Roadmap
FIH is dedicated to achieving rigorous energy efficiency targets, which have been systematically communicated across all relevant business units and departments. As an integral component of Hon Hai Technology Group’s carbon reduction roadmap—submitted to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2022 and officially approved in 2024—FIH is fully incorporated within the scope of these SBTi targets. This alignment underscores our unwavering commitment to driving global decarbonization efforts.
GHG Emissions Distribution and Analysis
FIH has identified key performance indicators (KPIs) highly relevant to our industry profile and continuously evaluates their potential operational and financial impacts. While our current disclosures primarily utilize qualitative analysis, we are committed to progressively advancing our reporting standards. This includes expanding quantitative data collection, refining estimation and calculation methodologies to minimize measurement uncertainty, and enhancing the overall reliability and transparency of our disclosures.
Regarding our decarbonization achievements, as of 2024, we have achieved a 63.26% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions compared to the 2020 base year. Furthermore, our short-term target of a 21% reduction by 2025 was successfully surpassed ahead of schedule in 2021. The consistent decline in GHG emissions in recent years serves as a testament to the Group’s steady and measurable progress toward our long-term climate goals.
