Occupational Health and Safety

The Group is committed to a “safety-first” policy and places the highest priority on proactive and preventive measures to reduce workplace risks. We firmly believe that safe working conditions are the foundation of stable business operations and a key driver of employee well-being and long-term corporate sustainability. To effectively reduce occupational risks, FIH proactively implements preventive and management measures that address a wide range of potential hazards, including mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire, and physical risks. We also provide health and safety training in languages that employees can easily understand, ensuring that every employee is aware of their responsibilities and protective measures. Relevant safety information is prominently displayed throughout our facilities for easy access and reference.

We continuously invest in advanced detection and monitoring systems, establish effective control and prevention mechanisms, and conduct regular safety inspections and emergency response drills to minimize the likelihood of workplace incidents. In addition, FIH actively participates in collective labor agreements at the Foxconn Technology Group level to jointly safeguard employee health and safety rights and promote continuous improvements in safety management across all sites.

FIH strictly complies with international and local occupational health and safety regulations and aligns its management practices with the requirements of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and the SA8000 Social Accountability Standard. Our management framework covers key areas such as working hours, rest periods, occupational safety, and employee protection, ensuring that employees work in an environment that is both safe and respectful. To support effective implementation, we dedicate resources to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management and have established an EHS Committee responsible for overseeing and promoting the execution of safety policies. FIH conducts at least one internal EHS management system audit and management review annually, while each site carries out quarterly safety audits and performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
