FIH adheres to comprehensive waste management guidelines, implementing rigorous protocols for the segregation, control, reduction, treatment, transportation, storage, and recycling of solid waste, chemicals, and hazardous materials. All disposal activities are conducted in strict compliance with local environmental regulations. Regarding sludge treatment, the Group partners with licensed vendors for collection and has integrated sludge drying technologies to enhance processing efficiency and reduce outsourcing costs.
We are committed to transforming waste into reusable resources through design and technical innovation. For instance, FIH manufacturing sites reclaim and sanitize wood and plastic pallets to extend their lifecycle and minimize waste generation.
India Sites: Achieved a 100% non-hazardous waste recycling rate.
Mexico and Vietnam Sites: Established a target to achieve a 90% waste diversion rate.
Longhua Site: Achieved a 100% waste collection and treatment rate through conversion and recycling.
During this reporting period, approximately 12,090 metric tons of industrial waste were recovered and recycled, successfully avoiding direct disposal. To demonstrate leadership in circular economy practices, the Group also processed approximately 1,500 metric tons of food waste using anaerobic digestion and composting, ensuring treatment that is both harmless and resource-efficient.
In 2025, FIH achieved significant milestones in the UL 2799 Zero Waste to Landfill certification. Our Taiwan Headquarters, Mainland China sites (Longhua, Langfang, Hengyang, Beijing), and Vietnam sites (Fushan and Guiwu) all achieved Platinum Level certification, representing a 100% diversion rate. Additionally, our Chihuahua site in Mexico earned Gold Level certification.
To date, a total of eight manufacturing sites have obtained and maintained this certification within their validity periods. This achievement underscores the Group’s steadfast commitment to effective waste management and sustainable disposal methodologies.
