Environmental Policy and Commitment

FIH is dedicated to upholding the highest international standards, including the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). As an integral member of Hon Hai Technology Group, our climate commitments and targets are fully aligned with the Group’s participation in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Climate Action 100+, and RE100.

Recognizing the urgency of climate change, FIH is committed to strengthening climate governance, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the entire value chain, and enhancing transparency through TCFD-aligned disclosures. In synchronization with the Group’s SBTi roadmap, we are steadfast in our pursuit of Net-Zero emissions by 2050. Our environmental focus extends across critical pillars, including air pollution control, energy management, GHG reduction, waste management, and water resource optimization. These policies and guidelines are rigorously implemented throughout the procurement, production, and delivery phases of our supply chain. Furthermore, to minimize energy consumption and maximize efficiency, we have established the "Energy-Saving Management and Audit Procedures" to drive continuous technological upgrades and improvements.

To ensure that FIH’s operations consistently adhere to the FIH Global Code of Conduct, Responsibility Standards, and Hon Hai Technology Group's ESG Policies, we have instituted a comprehensive suite of environmental policies and guidelines, including:

  • Environmental Management Manual

  • Energy Management Specifications

  • Chemicals Management Specifications

  • Waste Management Specifications

  • Water Resources Management Specifications

  • Biodiversity and No Deforestation Commitment

Through the collective efforts of our global workforce, all FIH manufacturing sites—including our Taiwan headquarters, Mainland China, India, Vietnam, the United States, and Mexico—have successfully obtained ISO 14001 certification. Beyond certification, our sites regularly upgrade environmental infrastructure to enhance capabilities in air emission management, wastewater treatment, and the management of general and recyclable waste. By continuously investing in internal carbon-reduction technologies and seeking strategic external collaborations, FIH fosters environmental protection and industrial prosperity, creating long-term value for business, society, and the planet.
